Catholic Faith Study (CFS): The Eucharist or the Lord’s Supper

Dear Friends,The Catholic Faith Study (CFS) is beginning a 3-part series on the Eucharist, or the Lord’s Supper, as it is sometimes called. We will be studying the origins and the meaning of the Last Supper within the context of the Old Testament (OT) scriptures.We will be studying how the “types” in the OT pointed to the reality in the New Testament. Types such as the Jewish Passover, the manna from heaven given to the Israelites in the desert and the “Bread of the Presence” (show bread) in the Temple.
