"Daring Greatly" Book Discussions by Cru Houston

CCEM Team

Cru Houston’s Leader Impact Groups are inviting CCEM, along with other interested groups at ExxonMobil to participate in weekly discussions as they journey through the book “Daring Greatly” by researcher, author and storyteller Brene Brown! The first meeting will be held on March 8th, from 12pm-1pm.

Based on twelve years of pioneering research, Brené Brown PhD, MSW, dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and argues that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage. In Daring Greatly, Brown explains how vulnerability is both the core of difficult emotions like fear, grief, and disappointment, and the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, empathy, innovation, and creativity.

Discussions will be held weekly through Zoom, with one in-person session per month on the Houston Campus. Discussions will be facilitated by Lisa Olson, a skilled and experienced small group facilitator and currently the executive director of Carolina Creek Christian Camp in Huntsville, Texas.

Additional details will be decided at the first meeting on March 8th. Please contact Kani Udoh to get the Zoom information for the first meeting.
